Full Description:

The Livermore Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Game has kicked off, offering two solid months of prizes and entertainment for preschoolers and school aged kids alike. Summer Readers in the “Hats Off to Reading” game earn points for each book they read & event they attend, with prizes including bowling or swim passes, pizza & ice cream coupons, and for those who read the equivalent of one hundred books, a prize medal and recognition at a special televised city council meeting event. Family events are free and open even to those choosing not to participate in the reading game. They include drop-in craft projects, puppeteers, magic, Hawaiian dance, and nine story times each week by Livermore Library storytellers Leona Hoegsberg, John Weaver, and Clara Yen. Full details of the Summer Reading Game, as well as the complete calendar of events, can be found on the Livermore Public Library’s website at Livermore Public Library Kids' Page .
